Those letters will appear connected with the line in the grid and in the boxes in the upper part of the board.

The game includes two modes: Letter Rack, in which you create as many words as you can, placing 100 letters in the grid; and Same Seven, in which you use the same 7 letters given to make as many different words as possible.

The game provides you with more than one piece to use, so you should choose wisely and quickly before more than five pieces remain unused, or the game will be over.
